Dunes Hospice is more than a hospice company. We go above and beyond to help individuals in need of assistance that relates to end-of-life. We are open to hearing your specific needs while caring for all aspects that a terminal illness can encompass. Donating to the Dunes Hospice Foundation contributes to the following:

Dunes Dreams:

Making dreams come true during the end-of-life journey is a high priority for Dunes Hospice. We encourage patients and families to fulfill dreams to enhance life’s experiences even during the end-of-life journey. Dunes Hospice has granted patients and their families dreams such as a trip to Disney World, a cruise on Lake Michigan, and a family fun pool party. Dunes Hospice will help make dreams come true.

Financial Assistance for Funerals:

Many people in hospice care face daunting medical bills, limited income and even heartbreak over financial provision for a loved one after the person on hospice care passes. Dunes Hospice Foundation will help address such needs through kind assistance by paying for funerals.

Other Bereavement Support

Dunes Hospice dedicates their resources primarily for patients. However, the family and friends of patients face their own stresses and burdens when a loved one has passed away. Dunes Hospice Foundation Inc. will help fund programs to provide hospitality and support to those involved with hospice care. Financial support will go towards support groups, bereavement, education programs and other bereavement of services.

Outreach in Schools

Many school-age children who have loved ones in a end-of-life journey suffer consequences of their grief, including absentees in school, difficulty concentrating, and overall disengagement. To respond to this need, Dunes Hospice can educate students on the resources available to help them cope with the loss or illness of a loved one.

Provide Training to Hospice Volunteers

While the kindness and support of a volunteer is helpful, without training, many of these volunteers are not well equipped to deeply understand and respond to the needs of those facing death or the death of a loved one. Dunes Hospice will sponsor training workshops for hospice volunteers to prepare them to effectively and lovingly serve those in need.

Sponsor Eligible Individuals Who Cannot Afford Hospice Care

It is a goal of Dunes Hospice that no one ineligible for hospice care be turned away for financial reasons. Dunes Hospice will sponsor those ineligible for financial assistance to ensure the care they need. Such charitable assistance shall be given base on demonstrated financial need.
